AUSTIN, TX, July 8, 2010 – FIATECH continues to build momentum and grow, adding eleven new organizations to the consortium’s membership in the first two quarters of 2010. These new members illustrate the diversity and broad representation found in the FIATECH consortium – all working together to bring the benefits of technology to capital projects throughout the world.  

AUSTIN, TX, April 28, 2010--On March 30, FIATECH hosted the CETI Gala, in conjunction with its 2010 Technology Conference and Showcase in Austin, TX. During that ceremony, the Superior Technical Achievement Awards (STAR) were given out to fourteen outstanding individuals who provided critical support and valuable contributions to FIATECH in 2009. As a result of their leadership, commitment and technical competence, FIATECH was able to produce valuable tools, products and technological developments that benefited the entire capital projects industry.

FIATECH Presents James B. Porter, Jr. Award for Technology Leadership in the Engineering and Construction Industry

AUSTIN, March 31, 2010 – FIATECH, an industry-led consortium that provides global leadership in identifying and accelerating the development, demonstration and deployment of fully integrated and automated technologies to deliver the highest business value throughout the life cycle of all types of capital projects, announced that John G. Voeller, a 2003-8 ASME White House Fellow and Senior Vice President at Black & Veatch, received the 2009 James B. Porter, Jr. Award for Technology Leadership.

AUSTIN, March 31, 2010--FIATECH recognized and honored nine organizations and individuals for their extraordinary work in developing and deploying innovative engineering and construction technologies, March 31, at the annual CETI Award Gala in Austin, TX. FIATECH established the CETI Award--Celebration of Engineering & Technology Innovation--in 2006 to promote and showcase innovative construction-related technologies that benefit the capital projects industry.

AUSTIN, TX and OSLO, Norway, February 24, 2010--POSC Caesar Association (PCA) and FIATECH have agreed on a single “Joint Operational Reference Data” project plan to create in 2010 a stable, scalable and commercially-viable operation of the ISO15926 reference data system and associated services.

AUSTIN, TX, October 15, 2009--Software providers demonstrated successful exchange of intelligent engineering data between their systems using ISO 15926 dictionary compliant XML exchange files.

AUSTIN, TX, June 8, 2009--FIATECH and the POSC Caesar Association proudly announce the release of iRING (Version 1.0.0), which is a set of open source software solutions for ISO 15926 for the capital projects and facilities industry. iRING is a full technical implementation of the ISO 15926 standard and was developed through a successfully demonstrated implementation project called “Camelot.”
