The goal at Fiatech is one that unites us: make step change improvement in the design, engineering, construction, and maintenance of large capital assets. Striving toward that goal brings our diverse members together. We share ideas, exchange information, discuss and debate possible solutions, all in the open forum provided by Fiatech to improve the capital projects industry.
Our members bring expertise from a variety of endeavors: some build large assets – refineries, power plants, health care facilities, large commercial and public buildings, infrastructure, and manufacturing facilities. Others are leading providers of engineering, design, procurement, and construction services. We also include top academic and research organizations. And we are represented as well by some of the most influential technology providers in the world. Together, we intend to reach our goal: that is, to see fully integrated and automated technologies deliver value throughout the life cycle of all types of capital projects.
Recent Fiatech initiatives have helped us accelerate the delivery of interoperable tools, systems, work approaches, and processes, including an open source exchange of information through ISO 15926. In addition, our implementation efforts are directed at our projects and our delivery targets. We will be communicating our progress and timelines on our projects as we go forward. Technology is advancing rapidly and we must bring these initiatives to reality quickly.
Importantly, we've made key relationships even stronger with distinguished collaborators and supporters such as the POSC Caesar Association, the Construction Industry Institute, The University of Texas at Austin, and the ARC Advisory Group. We continue the journey toward our goal of improving capital assets. We bring together science, engineering, technology, and most importantly, people. Together, we look for breakthrough opportunities, not just for us, but for everyone.
