At the 2011 FIATECH Technology Conference and Showcase two weeks ago, FIATECH announced the development of an Interoperability Vision Paper to provide an industry vision for advancing interoperability.
AUSTIN, Texas (April 26, 2011) – FIATECH hosted the 5th annual CETI Gala the evening of April 19, in conjunction with its 2011 Technology Conference and Showcase. During that ceremony, FIATECH gave out the Superior Technical Achievement Recognition Awards to 12 outstanding individuals who provided critical support and valuable contributions to FIATECH in 2010. As a result of their leadership, commitment, and technical competence, FIATECH was able to produce valuable tools, products, and technological developments that benefited the entire capital projects industry.
AUSTIN, Texas (April 20, 2011) - FIATECH, a member-led, industry consortium that provides global leadership in identifying and accelerating the development, demonstration and deployment of emerging and innovative technologies and practices, recognized and honored 13 organizations and individuals for their extraordinary work in developing and deploying innovative engineering and construction technologies last night at the 5th annual CETI Award Gala in Chandler, Arizona. FIATECH established the CETI (Celebration of Engineering & Technology Innovation) Award in 2006 to promote and showcase innovative construction-related technologies that benefit the capital projects industry. The CETI Award is given annually to organizations that have conducted new and emerging technology implementations as well as research and development.
Sponsored by McGraw-Hill Construction and Engineering News Record with partners ASCE and the National Building Museum the "Mitigating Disaster Through Design and Construction Conference - Planning and Building for Resiliency" brought together leaders from the disaster mitigation, construction, planning, insurance fields and building owners to hear presentations and discuss actions that can be taken at the national and local levels to strengthen disaster resiliency in the built environment.
Building on our strong associatoin with PCA, FIATECH was invited and participated in the POSC Caesar Association's North America Meeting, held in conjunction with MIMOSA/Open O&M at Chevron's offices in Houston. Following the three-day event, members of the FIATECH Board of Advisors and the PCA Board met at Bechtel's offices to discuss future collaboration projects and activities.
