AUSTIN, TX, September 20, 2011--As part of its continued efforts to seek greater European collaboration and partnerships, FIATECH is proud to announce that we have partnered with the SPAR Point Group to hold a one-day meeting on November 7, 2011, a day prior to the start of the SPAR Europe 2011 event in The Hague, Netherlands.
In this one-day event FIATECH will share its global mission, current projects and activities to a wide audience in Europe and provide an opportunity for locally-based FIATECH members and guests to meet, network, discuss projects, ideas and other initiatives. This event is intended to launch a FIATECH annual European event, creating an opportunity for its local members to meet together as well as share our work with others who may be interested in joining.
The detailed agenda for the meeting is under development by the newly formed FIATECH European Advisory Council and FIATECH staff. Topic areas for the meeting include advancing interoperability and technology implementations including augmented reality, accelerating the development of the ISO15926 standard, new nuclear power plant data requirements for construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and laser scanning data standardization.
"We are excited about this opportunity for FIATECH to share our activities and our progress in advancing technology for capital projects delivery and operations with our European membership and the broader European community," explains Ray Topping, FIATECH Director.
