AUSTIN, TX, January 11, 2011- FIATECH today announced that Reg Hunter has been named Senior Program Manager. Hunter will apply his considerable background and experience in capital project delivery as well as his leading expertise in materials management and procurement to manage and oversee FIATECH’s projects and programs to integrate and automate procurement and supply networks.
Many of you know Reg from his superb work and contributions on the RFID for Materials Management and Productivity Improvement publication that FIATECH released last fall,” says Raymond E. Topping, Director, FIATECH. “Reg will lead our activities in the Capital Projects Technology Roadmap element area focused on procurement and supply networks. He will be responsible for driving increased activity, member participation and membership growth in the procurement, materials management and logistics areas, in addition to expanding our visibility into broader market areas through his networks, especially in the nuclear power market. The FIATECH Board of Advisors has identified procurement as a key strategic focus area for FIATECH and the addition of Reg to our team will provide needed expertise, and added capability, to increase our attention and efforts for procurement-related projects and activities.”
Prior to joining FIATECH, Hunter served as Director of Applied Systems and Processes, Business Development Analytical & Electronic Systems and Productivity Improvement Solutions at URS Corporation; Senior Systems Engineering Manager at Applied Materials; Advanced Systems Program Manager at Tracor (now BAE); and a Project Systems Engineer at Honeywell. Hunter has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida A&M University and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin. He has been granted 23 patents.
