Integrated Materials Management Initiative Progress

Watch the video! Fiatech’s Board of Advisors leads a Projects Committee with monthly virtual meetings to review progress, status, and achievements of the projects across the Fiatech projects portfolio.

Our October Projects Committee reviewed the projects in our Integrated Materials Management (IMM) Initiative. Reg Hunter provided a summary for the great progress being achieved for IMM. Our Performance Improvement Target for IMM is to “Improve Construction Productivity and Reduce Schedule Delays by 20%.” Achievements include delivering the following reports available on the Fiatech’s web site:

  • “A Value Driven Approach to Productivity Improevement Planning” FIR-IMM-1, on members only site
  • “RFID for Materials Management & Productivity Improvement” available from public open site
  • “Seeing the Future Through Predictive Performance Indicators” FRS-PPI-1, on members only site

The IMM Progress Review included summaries for the two Workshops at the recent Fiatech Leadership Forum – Integrated Materials Management Workshop and Information Mapping and Integrated Materials Management Workshop. The feedback from these workshops is being review with our IMM Leadership Team to develop Performance Improvement Plans for both of these Initiatives.

An update was also provided for the current active project “Global Material Information (GMI) Proof of Concept/Use Case” which is defining and demonstrating anti-counterfeiting approaches.
