February 13, 2013, Austin, TX — Fiatech has announced that eight new members have been elected to the Board of Advisors. Each of the newly elected members will serve three years on the Board of Advisors, beginning in January 2013.
Fiatech Director Ray Topping said, “We’ll benefit greatly from the diverse and extensive experience this group of Board members provides. Each is highly respected for their achievements and visionary leadership in the industry. They bring strong capabilities with international representation. We look forward to working with them on the Fiatech mission: to lead development and adoption of innovative practices and technologies to realize the highest business value throughout the life cycle of capital assets.”
The new board members are:
J. P. (Peter) Blake – Blake will continue to serve as Fiatech Chair. He currently is director of the project delivery group for Hatch in Chile. During his 38 years with Hatch, he has had assignments in equipment design, project engineering, and project management. He also has experience in feed systems, power trains, refractories, off-gas systems, hot metal and slag handling systems for high power electric smelting furnaces, and design and installation of hydrometallurgical works. Blake holds a degree in engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Zuhair Haddad - Haddad is Consolidated Contractors Company’s vice president, corporate affairs, and chief information officer. He is in charge of implementing IT and communication strategies and manages the information systems, communication, and e-procurement departments. His work experience includes several construction projects in Saudi Arabia. Haddad has interests in developing 3D-based construction controls software. A native of Lebanon, Haddad holds a civil engineering degree from Cal State-Chico and a master’s in construction management from Stanford University.
Tom Hannigan – Hannigan will serve as Fiatech Chair Emeritus. He is president of the industrial services group at Zachry. His career includes numerous years of executive leadership as well as engineering and management experience, first with Conoco Oil Company and later at Texas Eastern Products Pipeline Company. He has been with Zachry since 1997. He holds a civil engineering degree from the U.S. Military Academy and a master’s in business financial management from George Washington University.
Patrick Holcomb - Holcomb is executive vice president of business development at Intergraph, with responsibility for product marketing, product management, and division alliances. He has experience with process industry engineering, technology start-ups, IT strategy, and global software marketing. He previously worked at Accenture and at ExxonMobil, where he held several roles including maintenance engineer, process engineer, and refinery coordinator. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Washington University, St. Louis, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
William (Bill) Muldoon - Muldoon, executive vice president, North America, AVEVA, has held senior management positions in engineering and design, operations, and supply chain activities at a number of high-profile technology companies. He also has served in the chemicals, alternative fuels, and power industries. Muldoon previously led a global services group that performed installation for heat tracing, power distribution, and piping insulation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an MBA from Texas A&M University.
Cameron Rezai – Rezai directs the global technology center for engineering solutions for The Dow Chemical Company. He has held a variety of leadership positions in environmental operations, production, maintenance, and engineering since joining Dow in 1989. His roles within the company have included global maintenance leader, site maintenance leader, and regional engineering solutions leader. He has served in his current position since 2010. Rezai holds a chemical engineering degree from Louisiana State University.
John Sanins - Sanins has over 26 years of international experience in process plant design and engineering data management. His senior management responsibilities include solution strategy, product direction, and roadmap definition of plant design, analysis, and data management systems. He also has been involved with plant design engineering and engineering information management software. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Huddersfield University, England, and an MBA from Open University, Milton Keynes, England.
Ray Simonson - Simonson is CEO of Coreworx. He has over 28 years of executive management experience in enterprise technology, and has consistently demonstrated an ability to manage delivery and development of mission-critical applications in key sectors. Prior to his present position, Simonson was senior vice president and CTO of CheckFree i-Solutions. Earlier, as co-founder of Bluegill Technologies, he assembled and led the development of the first XML-based internet billing application.
