Frank Matthewson is the Bechtel Central Engineering & Technology Manager for Work Processes and Technology.  In this role he provides the governance, leadership oversight and business analysis necessary for improving project quality and delivery on Bechtel projects worldwide.  This includes interfaces and integration with other functions such as procurement, construction, project controls, contracts and project management.  Frank has extensive cross-functional work process knowledge and experience with multiple global business units including Fossil Power, Nuclear Power, Oil, Gas & Chemical, and Mining & Metals.  He has held positions such as Chief Electrical and Control Systems Engineer, Engineering Manager of Disciplines for the Bechtel Petroleum & Chemicals business unit, and CIO for the Bechtel Mining and Metals business unit.  A corporate process improvement and re-engineering task force role defining the technology and automation solutions needed to successfully implement Bechtel’s long-term project execution vision and strategy led to a Corporate Manager of EPC Systems position defining, delivering and implementing these solutions throughout the corporation.  Frank has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Honors) from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and is a registered professional engineer.
